Toadstool Ceramics is a whimsical pottery studio based in Manitoba, Canada, where creativity, and clay come together.
Founded and run by sisters Elisabeth and Grace—both trained in fine arts—the studio celebrates handmade craftsmanship with a playful, cottage-inspired aesthetic. From functional mugs and planters to decorative sculptures and custom pieces, each ceramic creation is thoughtfully shaped and glazed in small batches, ensuring that every item holds its own unique charm and character. Rooted in a love for tactile art and everyday usefulness, Toadstool Ceramics focuses on creating pieces that feel both magical and practical.
Nature, folklore, nerdy and cozy domestic spaces often inspire the work, resulting in ceramics that are meant to be used, enjoyed, and lived with. No two pieces are exactly alike, reflecting the hands-on process and the individuality of handmade pottery. In addition to traditional ceramic wares, Toadstool Ceramics creates items that support other creative practices. They design and produce ceramic yarn bowls and pin cushions for fibre artists, thoughtfully made to be both functional and delightful.
